7.25 inches at the widest point across, .75 inches thick with the center handle adding about 1 inch to the depth

Please keep in mind that this works best with leashes that are on the thinner side--the rope leashes in the listing photos are about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch wide, and can be wrapped around itself.
